Our Past: (His Story)
Every Nation Bloemfontein started as a prophetic dream after God spoke to Pieter and Annalie Coffee from Isa 61:1-4 in December 2008: “The Spirit of GOD, the Master, is on me because GOD anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, and pardon all prisoners. GOD sent me to announce the year of his grace– a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies– and to comfort all who mourn, to care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, to give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit. Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness” planted by GOD to display his glory. They’ll rebuild the old ruins; raise a new city out of the wreckage. They’ll start over on the ruined cities, take the rubble left behind and make it new.” After they met with some of the apostolic leaders in the movement they felt called to move to Pretoria for a season of training and to get the ‘DNA’ and heart of the movement. They joined the Every Nation Pretoria church in January 2009 and stayed there for seven months. In September 2009 the Apostolic leadership released them to relocate to Bloemfontein and to start a new church in January 2010. They felt the urgency and magnitude of this vision and took 10 other obedient disciples with them. In Jan 2010 this group of 12 started engaging with people on Campus and in the Community. They established One-2-One relationships and a few Life Groups and after four months the group multiplied to 35 disciples. In May 2010 the first Sunday Worship Services were started. Right from the start the primary goal was to make disciples in our immediate communities, but we as a church also adopted Lesotho as a Nation and the Northern Cape as a neighboring province where we could go and make more disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ. We see that nations are at our doorstep and believe that through reaching out we can make a bigger impact in bringing change in our nation and continent.
Our Future: (His Fame)We as church see lives, communities and Africa transformed through discipleship in the Word, Presence and Power of God. The dream is to be a Missional church that focuses outwardly and therefore we have adopted a similar vision. Together, relationally connected and apostolically aligned with the other Every Nation churches globally, we will continue to build a multi-cultural, multi –national and multi-generational church in the city of Bloemfontein. Our passion is to see God worshiped through the diversity of multi generations and cultures, and therefore we deliberately aim to reach and raise leaders from all spheres of life and all cultures believing God to disciple our city and advance His Kingdom.
Why Bloemfontein? We believe Bloemfontein is a very prophetic and strategic city in our nation. It is known as the city of firsts. It is a city of new beginnings. Our nation’s Judicial city, a city of centrality and the city of Roses to spread its fragrance to all.
